Shopping

Today was one of the more interesting shopping days of my life. I bought:
  • 2 Electric Cattle Branding Irons
  • a Diaper Genie (before today, I didn't even know what a diaper genie was)
  • IVOMEC, which apparently is some kind of Cattle "injectable" -- maybe a dewormer?
  • Frontline dog buggie repellent medicine
  • Lonely Planet New York City
  • a Eddie Baur Diaper Bag
  • Texas-flag shaped Shower curtain clips and matching hand towels

And that's just the summary... I guess this is what happens when Momma Klein asks you over breakfast if you will help buy stuff online... and, in an effort to find the stuff on the baby and wedding registry lists, you end up in Walmart at 10PM analyzing mysterious comforter sets trying to find the one with the same UPC number as the one Momma Klein circled on the list... all to realize that it wasn't actually a comforter but a Memory Foam mattress cover. Because everyone knows that "MF Topper" = Memory Foam Mattress cover, right?

And the Eddie Baur car seat you just spent 30 minutes trying to find, was actually sold off the clearance shelf for $10 to someone else. And the purple numbered cattle ID ear tags that you have just spent at least 1.5 hours looking for won't arrive before the cattle need to be IDed, so we'll just buy the white ones at Tractor Supply.

Oh, and we can't forget to add the free IVOMEC hat to the shopping cart because everyone wants a hat advertising a dewormer, right?

Anyway, it was a fun and interesting day... I learned a lot.

Where in the World is She Now?

As I'm leaving Guinea, I've decided to set up a new blog to post pictures and stories from Greece (Aug. 11th to Sept. 9th) and Texas (Sept. 9th to ?) and beyond. I'm going to try to keep this as my main blog from now on, so you can bookmark this if you want instead of the old blog.
